Affectionately known as “Magic Mountain”, South Mountain has been a place of healing for more than a century. Nearby Caron Treatment Center provides comprehensive treatment for drug and alcohol dependency. The South Mountain Inn, within walking distance of Caron, was founded by a Caron alumni with a vision to support families visiting the facility. Today that vision continues with the Inn’s new owners, Matt and Kedri Metzger. During the Family Education Program (FEP), their primary mission is to create a peaceful environment where families can rest and have privacy. We offer a complimentary shuttle service to/from Caron. For families or interventionists dropping off patients at Caron, we offer flexible cancellation and check-in policies. Please let us know how we can facilitate a relaxing, healing visit.

Restful and charming small B&B with wonderful and caring serviceMy wife and I spent four days at the South Mountain while we visited with our loved one at Caron Treatment Center which is a one minute drive up the road. Located on seven quiet acres of trees and lawn, it was the perfect spot for us during our four day visit to Caron. Every interaction with the owners Kedri and Matt was exceptional. They both provided a very personalized level of attention and service. Our two room suite on the top floor was well appointed and very comfortable. We looked forward to breakfast each morning before we headed off for a full day of programs at Caron. When we returned in the evening, the wrap around porch offered a calm tranquil place to read and reflect on the day. We highly recommend the South Mountain Inn, and it is clearly an excellent option for families visiting Caron.
