Peaceful getaway with wonderful hostsMy husband and I wanted to go somewhere for just a couple nights so we didn’t want to travel too far. South Mountain Inn was perfect. It’s only about 1.5 hours from our hometown but it’s an entirely different world. It’s a charming inn situated on 7 acres with beautiful views. Our room was comfortable and very clean and had all the needed amenities. The husband and wife innkeepers are friendly, warm and very helpful. They even offer to deliver a pot of coffee to your door in the morning, which my husband was happy to take them up on. What other B & B does that?! The breakfasts cooked by Kedri were excellent and Matt suggested places for dinner and things to do in the area. We went to the Reading Public Museum, the West Reading shopping district, and Blue Marsh Lake. Just driving through the surrounding area with all its open space, attractive old houses, and farms was refreshing. I look forward to going back in warmer weather when we can do more outdoor activities. We highly recommend this inn. Matt and Kedri are the perfect hosts.
